Jimmy Choo

Jimmy Choo is a leading global luxury brand characterized by a strong sense of elegance and a joyful, bold spirit.

The brand traces its roots to Jimmy Choo, a bespoke shoemaker who operated in London's East End in the early 1990s, catering to the world's elite, including Princess Diana. Jimmy Choo was founded in 1996, and Jimmy Choo's niece, Sandra Choi, who headed the design department at the East End atelier, became Creative Director, a position she holds to this day. Jimmy Choo left the company in 2001.

The sexy silhouettes, fashionable design, and exceptional Italian craftsmanship resonated with a sophisticated clientele, and the first collection was an immediate success. Seeking to establish a global luxury brand, Jimmy Choo secured external investment, and the company embarked on significant expansion across product categories, distribution channels, and geographic markets.

Jimmy Choo, a pioneer in the art of celebrity dressing, was one of the first to introduce shoes and handbags to Hollywood, where the red carpet proved to be the perfect runway for the brand. Today, Jimmy Choo can be seen on style icons, from celebrities to royalty, from musicians to heads of state.

The brand's reputation as a celebrity favorite contributed to its rapid expansion. Its iconography was further shaped by bold and dramatic advertising featuring glamorous yet powerful women in high heels and luxurious handbags, captured by some of the world's most renowned fashion photographers.

Retail development is an integral part of the company's strategy. The first Jimmy Choo store opened in 1996 on Motcomb Street in London, complementing distribution in some of the world's most prestigious multi-brand stores. Two years later, the company expanded into the United States, opening two stores in New York and Beverly Hills. International expansion continued, opening locations in prestigious shopping centers in the world's most prestigious cities, such as Sloane Street and Bond Street in London, Avenue Montaigne in Paris, Via Condotti in Rome, Madison Avenue in New York, Rodeo Drive in Beverly Hills, and Ginza in Tokyo.

Jimmy Choo is a comprehensive luxury accessories brand. Women's shoes remain its core offerings, along with handbags, small leather goods, scarves, sunglasses, prescription glasses, belts, fragrances, and men's shoes. Creative Director Sandra Choi has been with the brand since its inception in 1996, with the vision of creating one of the most valuable luxury brands in the world. Jimmy Choo has a global network of over 200 stores and is present in the most prestigious department and specialty stores worldwide. Jimmy Choo is part of the global luxury group Capri Holdings Limited, listed on the New York Stock Exchange under the symbol CPRI.
